Carefully review the termination clauses of your mobile contract. Pay special attention to the notice period (usually 3 months).
Always submit your termination in writing and obtain proof of receipt.
If moving is the reason for termination, early termination may be possible. Submit proof of relocation (Umzugsbestätigung).
To avoid automatic renewal (Automatische Verlängerung), complete the termination before the contract end date.
If you want to keep your number (Rufnummernmitnahme), apply with your new provider.
Check for any remaining data plans or installment payments before termination.
